I have tried to find a census, and there is none available for the year I need over the internet. Therefore, I have written for a lookup, but no response. All I have is this: John Floyd, b. 3-20-1811 in Early County, Georgia, married Sara??? born August 20, 1807 in Georgia. They had 2 children that we know of. STROD (may be misspelled, and may be STRAWD)who was also born in Early County, Georgia. FLOYD, and LIZZIE (who married a DRAKE) They had 4 children: NEWTON HENRY, b. 5-20-1868 (which is my Great Grandfather). JOHN SAM (who was a Texas Ranger in Lubbock, Texas, but cannot find out anymore at this point. MAMIE ANNIE
Strod sent his 2 sons, Henry and Sam, to Texas with his parents, John and Sarah, and his sister and brother-in-law, Lizzie and SID Drake.Strod remained in Georgia to sell the land. He remarried, remained in Georgia, and had 4 sons and a daughter by his second wife, (whom we know nothing of). Strod never went to Texas and died in Georgia. They came to Texas in about 1881. All are buried in a private Floyd cemetery in DeLeon, Comanche County, Texas, except for Strod and his wife. That is who I am trying to find.I need the census for about 1830 or 1840, but am having no luck. Anything you know that would help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
