Looking for Dr James Floyd

Hi fellow Floyd researchers,
I did exactly the same thing..emailed Jim and didn't get a reply. He was incredibly helpful to me when I started to research Floyds in Cornwall and Devon, with links to Australia, about three years ago. I do hope nothing has happened...if you read this Jim, let us know and put our minds at rest!
My ancestor is James Floyd who married Margaret Churchward in Buckfastleigh, Devon, in 1845. He is listed as born in Buckfastleigh but given his age at death, he must have been born in around 1818 and the only James Floyd listed on the IGI for that year was born in Mary Tavy, West Devon. His father was Thomas Floyd, a copper miner, b. St. Agnes, Cornwall.Anyway, our James was a bit of a character and went to Australia, allegedly twice, (without wife) returning with untold riches (so the legend has it!)but died in Totnes Workhouse (South Hams, Devon, England). Legend also has it that he wasn't really a pauper, but had his money stashed away...though why anyone would want to live in the Workhouse when they didn't have to, beats me. Any info from anyone at all, would be gratefully received. I did a lot of research but have ground to a halt.
Best wishes
