Felice, SC borders Georgia on the East side.By mid 1800's they were all pretty mobile. It amazes me to see how far families traveled before 1800.If you know where they were in SC, you should be able to tracetheirapproximate route.I think the lure of free or better land beckoned most of them. My mother was a Floyd---from AR.She descends from William Floyd and Sarah King, who went from VAin the 1770's to Wake Co NC and then to Oglethorpe and Madison Co, GAby about 1800 or a bit after.Wm. Floyd and Robert Floyd each got two draws as Rev. War Soldiers in Oglethorpe Co, which later became Madison Co.A couple of William's sons, Jabuz and Lewis went over to Floyd Co, GAand Jabuz had two sons head for AR about 1857.My gr gr grandfatherstayed in ARbut his younger half brother went back to GA before 1860 and then on to TX by mid 1870's.My gr gr grandfather, Chancellor Floyd disappeared from Drew Co AR in Nov of 1860 when he sold his land,.I still haven't found him anywhere but 2 of his sons and 1 daughter show up in Pulaski Co AR and the oldest daughterwas just found in Lee Co AR 1880.My gr grandfather ended up in Benton Co AR after the War and one of his brothers that had been in Pulaski Co eventually joined him there. Whatever happened to Chancellor Floyd, his wife Mary (Post) and 3 sons is still a mystery.
