The information about the "fued" came from John Mason, a distant cousin of my wife, who died in 1968 in Atoka OK at the age of 100.He mentioned it in a letter to her and that's about all we know.Frederick's father may well be James. That's as far back as she has info on.Frederick's wife's mother was a Bullock who brought slaves to McNairy cty along with the rest.Anne is thru the Harmon Purdy Floyd line as was John Floyd Mason. There are the reminants of the town of Purdy and the old cemetaries there.Frederick is buried in what is called the Old Mickins cemetary out to itself. It's located south of Finger and east of Hwy 45.We have been to it several times and she has all the names somewhere as she is having new inscribed footstones made and we'll take them there this summer. If you want to find it, give us a yell, cause it isn't easy to find.We walked right past it once and missed it.Stay in touch!
