John Floyd to Hannah Bradley Pike Alabama
William Floyd b abt 1775 of Pike Co Alabama had a son John.In William's estate settlement John was said to be in Arkansas. That was 1852.
In many online family trees I had found that John married Hannah Bradley 12 Nov 1850 in Pike Co Alabama.
I have found information that proves that John son of William did not marry Hannah Bradley.
I sent for a copy of the marriage record and it contains the following information:
"The state of Ala Pike Co B Fitzpatrick....I Hugh floyd do herby consent for my son John to marry Hannah Bradley this ___November AD 1850attestHugh Floyd signed by his mark
sworn to dc B F"
There is also a notation of Hugh Bradley giving his permission for her to marry John Floyd.
I had found an 1850 census
Possible 1850 census 4 doors from brother Bartholomew

That shows a possible Arkansas location near his brother Bartholomew.

I believe this to be the John son of Hugh Floyd in the marriage record.
Does anyone know the relationship of this Hugh Floyd to William Floyd, father of Samuel, Hugh, Evan/Ivan, George W, Rebecca (md White), Morris, Margaret (md Wood), Bartholomew, John J and Andrew Timothy?
The names Hugh, Evan and Bartholomew keep popping up alot in Pike Co.
Thanks
