FLOYD, shoemaker, age 25, b. in PA.Married to ANNIE FLOYD, age 19, b. in Ohio.They have a daughter FLORA, age one, b. in Iowa.From another source, there is a FLORA J. FLOYD who died 12/12/1862, and is buried in the WILLIAM G. FLOYD lot in the Clarinda Cemetery.Also, WILLIAM C. FLOYD served in the Civil War, enlisting on 12/19/1863 in the Iowa Infantry Regiment from Page County, IA.He wasgranted a pension on 7/30/1890.The 1870 Census (Bethany, MO) lists W.C. FLOYD, b. 1836 in Iowa, a jeweler.His wife is ANNIE, b. 1841 in OH.Their children are ANNIE, age 9, b. in IA; WILLIAM, age 7, b 1863 in IA (whom I think is my grandfather); FRANK, age 6, b. in Iowa; and HERBERT, age one, b. in MO.The 1880 Census (Cass, Guthrie, IA) shows WILLIAM C. FLOYD, b. in 1835 in PA, a jeweler, and now married to SARAH E., b. 1841 (parents b. in PA).They have FREDERICK C., age 6 and DAISY, age one, both b. in IA.The 1900 Census (Guthrie, IA) has WILLIAM C. FLOYD, b. 1835 in PA, wife changed again to SADIE, b. abt. 1851 in IA.Lastly, the 1910 Census (Linn, Marshall, IA) lists WILLIAM C. FLOYD, age 75, an "inmate" living with many other seniors.Anyone have any information about these Floyds? Thanks!
