Butting into your conversation becuz-- My grgrandfather was David C. Robinson b. abt. 1789 His son David H. Robinson married Ann Davis, dau. of Levi G. Davis and Frances Hughes. There has been some speculation that David Robinson had some connection to the Lewis & Clark Expidition.
David Robinson was married twice (1) to Mary HOdges in 1813 in Goochland (2) To Mary Herndon in 1852 in Fluvanna
David H. Robinson who married a Davis was from the first marriage as well as several other children. They are found on the 1850 census for Fluvanna.
from the second marriage he had my grandmother Rebecca Ann Robinson b. 1853 She married John Walker Pace b. 1843 in Fluvanna He had a brother William H.Pace,who married a Sarah Pace, dau. of a Jesse Pace(possibly a cousin) In the household of William H. Pace, on the 1910 census, was an adopted dau. named Pocahontus, who was supposed to be part Cherokee.
