Joan, I was off the forum for a while and almost missed your reply. Don't have much info on John Floyd Sr. There are documents in South Caroliniana Library at Columbia SC that state John Sr. was in Chester Co. in 1809. He and John Jr. (and possibly Reuben) testified in the murder trial of one Samuel Floyd who had killed the sheriff of Chester Co. John Jr. had purchased land there in 1799 with his brothers. Reuben and David.John Jr. sold his portion in 1818. David was in Fairfield District SC by 1809 and Reuben remained until his death in 1824.John Jr's son, Reuben, is nephew to my 4G grandfather, Reuben. I know of only four children of John Jr. and Mourning Mayo:Reuben b. 1810; John b. 1818; Killis b. 1824; and Sarah b. 1783. Would like to have the other two children you mention. Having some problem with these dates; there is 27 years between Sarah and Reuben. Do we have the right dates? Sorry, never heard any rumors of being related to Pocahontas or any other Floyd's of renown.
