Owen FLUKER had three sons: John, William and Isaac. William FLUKER died 1802 leaving a will which named his wife, Mary Ann, his father, Owen, several brothers and sisters, but no children. Isaac FLUKER mar. 1801 and had 11 children. If he had an earlier marriage which would have produced a daughter, Betsy, I don't know about it.
The third son of Owen, John FLUKER, was living in Greene Co., GA during the early 1800's and could possibly be Betsy's father, but I don't know for sure. In Greene Co. Deed Bk. 2, p.585: John FLUKER and Rebeccah, his wife, of Greene Co. to James C. Daniel of same - 65 acres in Greene Co....Signed John FLUKER, Rebecca FLUKER and recorded in Greene Co.1802. In the 1805 GA Land Lottery, John FLUKER, resident of Greene Co, drew 2 blanks. John FLUKER was living in Jasper Co, GA.by at least 1820 and probably earlier. In the 1827 Land Lottery, John FLUKER, Veteran of Rev. War, was granted land in Lee Co, GA. Several years later, 1843, Sarah BEAVERS, one of the children and lawful heirs of John FLUKER, dec'd., filed to claim this land in Lee Co. Sarah FLUKER had married Joseph BEAVERS abt.1797. They are my ancestors and she is the only child of John FLUKER that I know of at this time, but the fact that John FLUKER is living in Greene Co at the time Betsy FLUKER married Owen Philemon is interesting.
What do you know about Betsy & Owen Philemon afer their marriage? Do you have names of their children? I would be interested to hear.
