I have two Flummerfelts who married into the READ family of Warren County, New Jersey. They are:
1. Charles Flumerfelt, born 1814 and died 20 September 1879. He married Eleanor "Ellen" Read, daughter of David Read and Anna Middlesworth. She died 20 September 1879, age 55.1.3. They are buried in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church yard (also known as Green's Chapel) in Warren County, New Jersey. They had at least 5 children: a.Emily Flummerfelt, died 7 February 1849, age 1.1.7, buried Mt. Hermon. b.Harriet Flummerfelt, born 12 August 1850 died ?1918, buried Old Bridge Cemetery, Old Bridge, New Jersey. Married Sylvester Treat. c.John C. Flummerfelt, born 10 December 1851 died 1928, buried Mt. Hermon. Married 1)Mary C. Allen (1840-1900), buried Mt. Hermon and 2) on 12 November 1902, Hannah (Unknown). d.Charles Flummerfelt, died 5 July 1857, age 0.11.27, buried Mt. Hermon. e.Ann Eliza Flummerfelt, born 8 September 1858, died 1940, buried St. John's United Methodist Church yard (also known as the Moravian Cemetery), Hope, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey. Married George Cool (c. 1852-1912), buried St. John's.
2. Mary Flummerfelt, born 1854, died 1932, buried St. John's. Married Joseph H. Osmun, the son of Anthony J. Osmun and Sarah Ann Read (sister of Eleanor Read Flummerfelt). Joseph was born 30 November 1850 and died 1918, buried St. John's. They had at least two children: a.Norman B. Osmun, 1878-1952, buried St. John's. b.Leland Stanford Osmun, 13 June 1886 - 20 November 1941. Leland married and had children.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about Charles or Mary Flummerfelt's parents. I was hoping that you could shed some light on the subject.
