My Augustus, according to a message I received from reading about some of Deborah Manning Mitchell's research on this subject, was born about 1838 which makes him the right age to be the 11 year old boy in the 1850 Coweta, GA census. In addition, later census records in Texas re Emily Fillyaw Flurry and children seem to confirm this fact since the birth place of their father was listed as having been in Georgia while Emily's was listed as having been in Florida.
Augustus seems to be a name that is repeated with great regularity within the Flurry family.
I do not know who the Augustus Flurry was who won the 1832 Georgia Lottery. At this point in time, I do not know who Henley Flurry's father was nor any of the brothers of that gentleman. This Augustus may be either the father of Henley or one of his uncles or a cousin of the father.Because of the smallness of the Flurry family nationwide, I believe that all of the Flurry line is in some way related to a common ancestor.Proving that has not been done at this point in time, however.
According to Nancy Myers, Henley Flurry was born about 1788 and his wife's name was Eliza (surname unknown). The names of the children contained in her March 16, 2000 message states that the children were named: Ann C.(this could be the Antoinette listed in the census record you have); Augustus (his age should be approx. 11 years old in 1850 if he was born in 1838); Solenna A.is also called Lena Ann in the 1860 Federal Census for Marion County, Alabama.Augustus would already have been married to Emily E. Fillyaw and living somewhere else (Florida according to the birth state information recorded for his children in later Federal census records for Jasper County, TX).
In my 1860 Census record for Marion Co., Al, Jane's full name is revealed. It is Eliza J.Her age is given as 26 which matches the 16 given as her age ten years earlier in your census record for 1850.
I have found records of another Augustus Flurry in Jasper County, TX.In 1900, he was living in Jasper County and I believe he is a relative of this line but I do not know what relation he is.This person was listed as having been born in Georgia about 1856.My information comes from the Federal Census for Jasper County in 1900.His wife's name was Martha A.His children were John T., born Dec., 1887 in Texas; Wily H. born August, 1890 in Texas; Mary, born September 1894 in Texas.Martha A. was born in Feb., 1865 in Texas. She supposedly had 13 children in total.I don't know if all of these children were from this marriage or not.
I do not know who this Augustus is.I would suspect that he is either a nephew or a cousin of our Augustus.
There are also a couple of discrepancies in the ages of the children from one census to the next.IN the 1860 Federal Census for Marion Co., AL, the age of Henley is given as "72."Eliza was 50 "again".Ha.Eliza J. was 26; Lena Ann was 16.Their states of birth were given as Georgia if I am reading the handwriting of the enumerator correctly.

Thanks for your help on this. While there are still some holes to plug and mysteries to resolve, your information was very helpful.
