It is very interesting to see how different the name Flütsch is spelt in all the languages. I knew that families with this name live in France and Australia, but I didn't knew that there are also families in Holland and Hungary. My family comes from St. Antönien, a village closed to Schiers and it is not clear if the family lived first in Schiers or in St. Antönien. I have a family tree going back into the 17th century but unfortunatly we cannot regognize the people who emigrated. There is a source telling that the name Flütsch/Flütschen comes from Flötschen, lat. Floetzii and was a name of the ancient retian nobility (Chr. Campell, I. Buch, 1570). I don'nt know if this is true but actually I am looking for the family heraldic flag of Flütsch.
