I'm searching for confirmation of a relationship.Yesterday, I visited Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.(by the way--they are very helpful there)Their written records list my great-grandmother's married name as Sarah Fly Black. This is the first record I have found of her maiden name.I already had her birth and death years, which were taken from her tombstone.Familysearch.org lists a Sarah Fly, b. 17 May 1856 in Nashville, TN to Samuel Cutchin Fly and Martha E. Holloway. This matches the birth year that I have. I notice that several of the posts here refer to Samuel Cutchin Fly.Can anyone confirm that my Sarah, who married James Black in Nashville, TN, and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville is the Sarah Fly born to Samuel Cutchin Fly and Martha E. Holloway?I strongly suspect she is, since the family plot was purchased by her, and the adjacent cemetery plot is occupied by James W. Fly, Kittie E. Fly and some of their descendants. If anyone is interested, I have information on the descendants of Sarah and James Black, and transcriptions of the grave markers for the Fly and Black family plots at Mount Olivet. Thanks for your help.
