To Nancy Wheeler, - Capps Family Researcher,
Hello Nancy Wheeler,
I can put you in touch with TWO Capps men who are descended from TWO Fly Sisters who were married to TWO (putative) Capps FIRST COUSINS. The present Capps cousins are descended from Lucy (Fly) Capps, b. 23 Feb 1803, daughter of Elisha Fly, jr., b. ca. 1767 and Annah (Fly) Capps, b. 1795 daughter of that same Elisha Fly, jr., respectively.
Lucy Fly was married to William Capps, son of Cason Capps of Orange Co., NC. - Annah Fly was married to Henry Capps, thought to be son of Robert Capps/Copes of Orange Co., NC.
If YOU have information on the Capps family structure embracing and relating to Cason Capps and Robert Capps/Copes, you may be able to throw some light on the picture and help clarify the Wm. Capps-Henry Caps relationship. It strikes me that this area of consideration may be a principal interest to your DNA analyses and speculations as to meaning of the test results.
I have very recently sent printouts, running to thirty and some pages (each printout) to Douglas Alan "Doug" Capps and James Clair "Jim" Capps. Each printout is specific to the recipient, - Doug and Jim.- Doug is in Oregon; Jim is in Georgia.
I suggest you come to me [email protected] I can give you contact information for Jim and Doug. You MAY want to discuss your acquiring one or another of the printouts for your own studies.
