I actually have no data on John Jesse Fly other than that he was the son of Elisha, Jr.
Most of my data centers around Lucy, Anna, and Rebecca Fly.
One must keep in mind that in 1820 and 1821 that all of this land west of the Tennessee River was extremely sparsely populated.Especially the western part of Henry and Carroll counties along with Gibson and Weakley counties.
There was also not much evidence of the Chickasaw Indians occupying these lands but rather they were hunting grounds.
The area around Nashville; Williamson and Maury counties were quite settled several years before. This was at that time the wild frontier even in the mid 1820's.
