It has been several years ago that we spoke about this.I found a Christopher Flye in Grandville Co., N.C.Rev. Norman checked the name for me - abstracts are not always correct. He felt the last name was not Flye.
I have paragraphs out of sequence, sorry - the next paragraph needs to be the last paragraph.
Part of grandville Co. became Orange Co. where William Fly purchased land from a Stevenson. I believe this is the land that Elisha, John & Jeremiah were selling that was inherited from William Fly in 1796.Rev. Norman sent everyone deeds about this proving that the land never belonged to a John Fly who was suppose to be the grandfather.
Now the following takes place about the same time frame that a Fly shows up in James City, Va. per Immigrants to Virginia.
On sept 8, 1678, William Fly recorded a deed for 100 acres of land which he bought fromChristopher Blyth. This land was next to land of Wm. Oldis. (this was in Isle of Wright Vo., Va.
Could Christopher Blyth actually be Christopher Flyth or Fly>
