Joyce has done a nice job with her letter about Goshen Church, and is to be commended.
By way of comment, - and this MAY be apparent, - The only Fly-named person's burial that I can remember in the Goshen Church Cemetery is that of C. Fly thought to be Caleb Fly, son of Lawrence, as discussed on this Forum earlier.
The burial of Capt. John Fly, b. 1802 (Civil War Captain) is in the nearby Fly-Family Cemetery, over about a quarter of a mile from the Fly Store, run by Wilson Fly.Sarah Jane (Trader) Fly is buried there, and John's TWO wives Sarah (McCracken) Fly and Sarena (SERENA,Cyrina) Elizabeth (Webb) Fly.
John Fly, b. 1772 is buried many miles from both of these at 1647 Ragsdale Rd., Brentwood, Williamson Co., TN.
This kind of thing is very positive and very good. In THIS manner the experienced Fly researchers AND the beginners can be exposed to very basic facts that they NEED to become familiar with.
