Re: Albert L. Fly

Hello Chris Stinson,
I'm just back from a week off-line and doing genealogy-related inquiry in Middle-Tennessee. I have been cruising around the tri-county area where Rutherford, Davidson and Williamson come together, becoming familiar with the lay of the land.I succeeded in finding the reported, but not heretofore located (by me) stone of one of my great-grandfather's brothers, James Washington Fly. This stone has the names of his wife and his three unmarried daughters, as well as reference to "Aunt Sallie" and "Aunt Dink".Sallie was his sister (unmarried) and "Dink" was his wife's unmarried sister, an Eastwood. -I have learned from a source I'm inclined to accept that "Dink" was a nickname for "Ophelia".
I came back thoroughly "chigger-bit".I mean, It's BAD.I think I've been a little feverish with the reaction.I'm using clear nail-polish.I think it does help a little.
I will be able to work with your interests in Jeremiah and Zilpha, if you will outline your interests to me so I can address them. I do "Jeremiah" Branch-books; but I can just tell you a lot, with select printouts, if THAT's what you'd like.I tried to phone you earlier tonight, but your phone didn't answer.
I have several commitments to fulfill from my trip, and will have to scramble to fill them in the next 20 or so days.Bear with me and come back to me, before you throw me out as un-cooperative.I have some outstanding commitments to fulfill in Tennessee involving printouts and mailbacks.
I have copies of Jeremiah's marriage License and Bond in 1798 to marry Zilpha Pipkin. She was NOT Mary Z. Pipkin; she was "Zilpha" THREE places in the document. The word was "marry". -I can do descendants by William Fly, b. 1799, by Asher Pipkin Fly, b. 1804 ( have his obituary); I visited with his 96-year-old son) over a weekend in 1961; I have the Family Bible data-pages of Elisha, b. 1811 (third son), found in the abandoned James Kennedy Fly frontier cabin by Luther William Fly of Wichita, KS. The Bible belonged to Elisha Fly, b. 1811 and Zilpha.

Tell me a little about yourself and your connection to the Flys.
