To Eve Walters,
Hello Fly/Baker Cousin,
Your message was cryptic, - to me at least. Except I gather that you were "turned off" by something.
Would you please enlighten this one as to what you meant about "obvious controlling of mail".
There has been some unpleasantness on the Fly-forum which is no longer manifest; and we are, I hope, in a "healing" mode.
However, the Forum is a good place for the exchange of information and for making new acquaintance of people who, like myself, have been researching since early on, - for me since 1958.
If you would like to correspond directly via e-mail, I will be pleased to locate your "Fly-relative" for you on the 11,000 name data base, if it be possible. My work is accessible as printouts in Nashville, TN at the State Archives; at Franklin , TN at the Williamson Co. Library; and it is in the Mormons' hands in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. There are at these places TWO editions which were several years between first and second. They complement one another and are very full of Fly-family GOOD, USABLE information.
I DO have some known Bakers in what I have.
I assure you there is no known "intellecual fraud" in my work.I am 79 years old, going on 80.I will, however, tell you that I am of necessity receiving a powerful medication to kill an infestation, first of "chiggers", and then of scabies, acquired on a genealogical trip to Tennessee in August of this year.I feel like I've had a "Lobotomy".Please forgive any seeming aberrations.
