Follett is a French name orginally which was LaFollette.Follet is an anglicism of the French name.A Foliot and a de la Folie came with William the Conqueror to England in 1066.The descendents of these families were the ancestors of the first Folletts in America.AlsoLuet. Follett was given land in Ireland as a reward for his service to the English King. The land was taken from Irish a Lord who fought the King.Lt. Follett apparently had a descendent to come to America.
