Yeah, I've known such men too; had a son with one of them.ROFL
Anyway, I was thinking about this last night and remembered that my cousin found a tidbit of info for me in the form of a census record subsequent to his marriage to my grandmother.I have to dig out the record from my files but if I remember correctly (that'll be the day!) it had his wife's name and one of his kids with an address.
So it seems like the "gentleman" continued to use his correct name.I know he was still using it when the last of his kids was born, which was roughly around 1948-50.
I don't know what to say about the SS# thing though. That's a weird one.
I'll have to check with my aunt; even tho she's not one of his kids, she may know where her mother got married to the guy and that will help too.
They might have gotten married in Chester, PA (Delaware County) because I remember my grandmother talking about living there.Again, that's something I can ask my aunt. She and my father may have both been born in Chester.
And if the guy isn't dead yet, that would be amazing. My grandmother was only in her mid-80s when she passed away. And except for her heart failing, she had less problems at her age than I do now at 50!LOL
Have a great weekend!!
