Alberto A. Fonseca, 84 of Framingham passed away peacefully on May 23, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Alcino & Lucinda Fonseca of Lousa, Portugal and Stepson to the late Insolina Fonseca of Framingham. A lifelong resident of Framingham, Alberto worked in the construction industry for over 40 years retiring from the Local Laborers Union Local 609 in 1982. He was a long time member of the Portuguese Club in Framingham and enjoyed a good card game. He took pleasure in fishing, hunting, gardening and the FC Porto soccer team, and especially loved being Avo to his 11 Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa (Nunes) of 58 years and his four children, Manuel Fonseca of Milford, Lucinda (Cindy) Beaudin of Bellingham, Virginia Griffin of Millville and Joseph Fonseca of Holliston. He is also survived by his sisters and brother; Joao Fonseca of Portugal, Celeste Cordeiro of Portugal, Maria Tavares of Framingham, Alice Fonseca of Framingham and Fatima Borges of Framingham. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Manuel of Warwick, Rhode Island, Jose of Cranston, Rhode Island and Luis of Natick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Thursday, May 27, at 10 a.m. in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverley St., (Rt. 135), Framingham. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
