Re: Napoleon Fontaine of Rhode Island
Some confusion here.
According to RI Death and Burials 1802-1950 on familysearch.org, the Napoleon Fontaine, that married Ida Broussard, died 11-Apr-1925 Woonsocket, RI and is buried in the Woonsocket city cemetery. I think I found their marriage record at https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-11664-25094-8?cc=1469062&wc=6961552 on 10-May-1900 in Attleborough, MA (line 80).
From findagrave.com, the Napoleon Fontaine that died 20-Apr-1956 was buried in an unmarked grave in Precious Blood cemetery in Woonsocket, RI. He was born about 1881 and was married to Mathilda Dumas. [Note: Note: Data obtained from the online RI Historical Cemeteries Transcription Project] However, my records show Mathilda Dumas was married to a Gabriel Fontaine, not Napoleon. Gabriel was born in 1831, probably read wrong as 1881. Gabriel and Mathilda were probably married in Plattsburgh, NY since several elder children were born there.
