Re: Jämtland,Sweden > America > ??
I doubt that your Anders and my Anders (Andrew) are the same as I do not know of my Anders being married. Here is what I know so far:
Anders Paulus Paulsson Forslund was born on 3 April 1869 in Borgsjö, Borgvattnet, Jämtland, Z, SE.He immigrated in 1893 to West Duluth, Minn from SE.He died on 29 March 1953 in Carlton, Minnesota. He was buried after 29 March 1953 in Sandy Lake Cemetery, Carlton, Minnesota.
There are many emigrants from Sweden who had the name of Forslund. You should look in the 1900 census for Anders, Christina, and Johanna to see what year they emigrated (if it was before 1900) and if they were married before leaving Sweden.Use the soundex if you don't know which Minnesota county to search. There are 499 Forslunds listed on the Emigranten CD.It is easier to identify a specific emigrant if you have their age and/or year of emigration. If you find them listed on the Emigranten CD you can obtain knowledge of where they were living in Sweden.(A lot of us have that CD.)At that point, all the Swedish church records are there to help you learn about your ancestors.Usually, that is the fun part.Good luck.
