I have collected quite a bit of information on this line of Fosters trying to connect them to mine.I was told that my family was somehow related to Stephen Collins Foster, but as yet, I have found none.
Children of William Barclay Foster and Eliza Clayland Thomlinson are as follows.....

Ann Eliza Foster - born November 2, 1808 and died December 23, 1808

Charlotte Susanna Foster, born December 15, 1809 and died October 20, 1829 in Louisville

Ann Eliza or Elizabeth C. Foster, (referred to as Eliza)born January 12, 1812 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and died April 7, 1891 in Philadelphia. She was married to Rev. Edward Y. Buchanan (brother of Pres, James Buchanan).Rev. Buchanan and his wife lived in Lancaster County, Pa. and he was the minister at several churches in the area, one being All Saints Episcopal Church in Paradise. My greatgrandparents James Frew and Rachael Foster also attended this church and are buried in the cemetery up the hill on Singer Avenue.It is Rachael's family that I am trying to match to this Foster family.Rachel's parents were Joel Henry Foster and Margaret Givens or Snyder and her grandparents were John Foster and Elizabeth Ferree.

William Barclay Foster, born May 7 1814 and died March 26, 1815.

William Barclay Foster, Jr.,(this child was taken into the Foster home and given the name above and he replaced the older childof the same name who died in 1815).
I do not know his birth date, but he died March 4, 1860 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.He was married to Mary A. Wick.

Henry Baldwin Foster, born March 23, 1816 and died June 28, 1870.He married Mary Burgess.

Henrietta Angelica Foster, born Septeber 14, 1818 and died March 13, 1879. She married
Thomas L. Wick.

Dunning McNair Foster, born January 26, 1821 and died March 31, 1856.

Morrison Foster, born June 10, 1823 and died May 14, 1904.He married Jessee Lightner.

Stephen Collins Foster, born July 4, 1826 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and died January 13, 1854 in New York, New York.He married Jane Denny McDowell.

James Clayland Foster, born February 3, 1829 and died May 19, 1830.
