Marilyn- Sorry for the delay in replying.I am desc. from Peter Fransisco, aka Sisco, born ca 1757 (where?),and died 1842, Jefferson twp., Franklin Co, OH. His wife named Mary (unknown), born ca 1759, d. 1849 ( I think, not looking at my records!), same place.I am desc. from their daughter, Lydia J., born ca 27 May 1809, N. J.; died 17 Jan 1859, Franklin Co., OH. Buried- Headley Cemetery,Jefferson Twp., Franklin Co., OH.She married 4 May 1830 in Franklin Co., OH to James RANDOLPH, born ca 1806/7, MD, son of Reuben Madden Randolph & Margaret Albery. Then I am desc. from James Randolph's daughter, Margaret RAndolph, b. 2 Apr. 1836, Franklin Co., OH, died 25 June 1912, Lyons, Burt Co., Nebr. She married 18 Sep 1859, in Lee Co., ILL. to Alpheus Henry BEEMER; my great great grandparents.Peter Fransiso's daughter, Elizabeth Sisco was married in 1812 Morris Co., N.J. to Emyel Cook; both of Pequannock.Could sure use some help in identifying said Peter Fransisco/Sisco. I have found that most of the death cert. for this family, that I have acquired do spell the surname FRANSISCO; although found as Cisco; Francisco; and F. Sisco and Sisco, depending on the records searched. If you have ANY clues, I would be grateful for any leads.I have a hunch, and that is all that it is, that they may have come from what became the area of Newfoundland, Passaic Co., N.J., later on. As you no doubt know these county lines changed several times.
