My grandmother was a Frankish and married a John Dickenson in Manchester I have no record of the dates. the only relatives that i am awair of area Norman Frankish who was living in Middlebrough and his late brother Bill. Bill had a decorating business, Norman had a senior position with Cadburys. Bill did not have children and Norman had a daughter who I believe is living in the South of England.
My family emigrated to south Africa in 1947 where I still reside today, I took up residence in Sesimbra Portugal between 1990 & 1998, I sold my business there and mooved to Florida USA untill 2002 when i returned to South Africa.
I have two sons christened Dion Frankish Murdey aged 34 and Mason Frankish Fabre Murdey aged 18.
I am very interested to have any history on the Frankish family, My limited knowledge is that they were from the Sunderland , Whitby area and that their is a record related to the Whitby Abbey. I have been led to beleve that Bill frankish did some research into the family with this a s a sarting point and traced the Family back as far a 1066 to a noble who waspart of william the Conqueror
The family crest was apparently a lions head
How much of this is true I do not know as i do not have the family bible. Looking forward to comments
