Barry,
You may already have some of this information, but according to one of our members:
About 1782 Donald (Ban) Fraser married Annie Fraser (1755-1812), daughter of Alexander Fraser (MacAndrew) from the parish of Kilmorack, Inverness-shire.They came to McLellans Mountain [properly known as McLennan] shortly after 1784 and built a log house near what has been called the Colin farm, on top of the little hill below the pond. They are said to have had a family of twelve.
In 1784 Alexander Fraser (MacAndrew) came from Scotland on the brig "John" by way of Halifax to Pictou with his two sons, Peter and Alexander, and received land grants at McLellans Brook.Alexander Fraser Sr died a few years later, in 1787.Peter Fraser died in 1831, at the age of 70.Peter Fraser (1761-1831) and his wife Margaret Douglas (1766-1836) are buried in the Pioneer Cemetery, New Glasgow.Margaret was the daughter of Colin Douglass & Kathren MacLean from Kilmorack, passengers on the Hector in 1773, who settled at Middle River.
Some time after 1784 three more daughters of Alexander Fraser Sr (MacAndrew) came from Scotland:
Isabell Fraser (d. 1843) who married Donald McGregor (1751-1828) at Kiltarlity in 1789, came to Pictou on the ship "Sarah" in 1801 and settled at Brookville.
Mary Fraser who married a Fraser, Elgin, Pictou Co.
Katie Fraser who married John MacBean (McBain), St. Mary's, East River.
Hope this helps.
