Morning Gordon

Difficult to say, as although I do have an interest in Alexander Fraser of Inchcoulter and Balconie, it is as the employer who in effect, brought the earliest-traced of my English ancestral line to Scotland, John Tant - his butler.

He had a son presumably by his wife, Evan Baillie Fraser, whose name has come down through the three, probably-related TANT lines in Scotland, all from that same era, with William Tant being also employed by AF as his butler some years later.

There is at least one person in Edinburgh today who has the full name, Evan Baillie Fraser TANT, approaching 180 years since it first appeared.

Very recently, The Trinidad and Tobago released various documents on the web, that relate to the Camden Plantation-

Do a search for-

Camden plantation couva trinidad

and some others will show up.

"Peggy/ie" is certainly the Scottish diminutive for "Margaret" via the Gaelic, so does seem to tie in.

I must take a closer look at the various names on the plantation records.

This is an on-going saga of the three TANT lines in Scotland-
