Replying to your message about Fritsches in genforum dated Oct. 27, 2000. Some of my Fritsches went from Nebraska to the state of Washington in the 1940s. Charles Fritsch, son of Frank Fritsch of Indianola, NE, had several children in the vicinity of Olympia. These Fritches were all descendants of Charles Fritsch, born in Minn. in 1867, who later as an adult was a farmer in Frontier Co., NE. Charles (Charlie) vwas the older brother of my Granddad Fred Fritsch, my mother's father. Fritsch is a Prussian surname that is common in almost all parts of Germany today. The von was a title allowed by the king of Prussia only to a few families. Don't expect to find your family with that title. If it is true, it is unusual. Earl F. Kisling, San Pablo, CA
