i really am not sure. i have found very litle on lucinda gann. other than her date of marriage and some court records pertaining to her law suit against the railroad. i haven't any clue . niethr her stone nor her husband's has any dates on them. this is not my blood line but my cousin's. he did tell me that his aunts and uncles told him that there was cherokee in his line and very close. though due to discrimination the family kept it well hidden. i was told that it was most likely on the gann side. i have not seen anything on any of the rolls but then again it was considered horrible to have native american blood.
he was told that those who knew called them terible names and such. lucinda was his grandmother she died sometime after 1807. if you find anything out please let me know. oh, by the way she was born and raised in soddy. i have considered her heritage being part of the problem in finding her.good luck,
