Garbutt's from Hull
My Great grandfather (x 4 or 5), was from Hull. His name was David Parkinson Garbutt and was very well known in the Hull area as a contractor who built housing developments, most notably the Prince's avenue district. He died in the late 1800's and had a brother named William who ran a shipbuilding business with him. He also had a son named William and 2 daughters whose names are unknown to me although one of them became Mrs North. There were also 4 nephews named Robert, Herbert, Walter and Ernest.I don't know much of the family history at all as i only found out about him this week but i would love to know more if anyone has information on them or this line of Garbutt's.
I am in posession of 2 newspaper articles written upon his death that shed light on his life and movements if anyone wants to know more. Look forward to any replies.
thanks Laura Garbutt xx
