Re: info. on Cecilia Garnsey

Judy: I went to Clayton NY on Tuesday to check out the marriage of Celia Garnsey and Louis Turcotte. Major changes to info. I sent you. They were married on December 22,1887 and the marriage was registered on January 14,1888. His real name was Lawrence A. Turcott not Louis. His parents were John Turcott and Angeline La Rock.He was 25 when he married Celia. Celia was 18 at the time of her marriage. The marriage info. at the town hall there states that Lawrence's place of residence was Grindstone Island and he was born in Paris France. However I have info that points to his parents being married in Quebec. There are some real variations in the spelling of names etc. Celia's mothers name on the info. at the town hall there is Erneret Chase however I believe it is spelt Amorette Chase. Anyway sorry for the wrong info. I will keep on hunting. Harold
