Re: Robert Garrard b.1739Framlingham Suffolk

Edward Gooch Garrard b.1832 at Brundish Suffolk, son of Robert and Celia (nee Button)Garrard.Went to Australia in 1856, visited his cousins at Geelong, Victoria. On 30th Sept. 1858 Edward was Godfather to Hatsell Mellersh and Sophia's son Edward Arnold Preston Garrard. Reported to have returned to England c.1859.
Edward married Caroline Davis July/Sept 1856. At time of 1881 census they were living in Barnes, Surrey and were listed as having six children,
Maud Mary b.1866, Robert Davis b.1868, Stanley R b.1870, Edith May b.1877, Mabel Adeline b.1879 and Clarence W b.1880.
Stanley went to Rhodesia, named his house "Brundish House".Sent son Robert Milne to Framlingham College 1914-1921.
Edward died at Worthing, Sussex, 1886. Whilst at Barnes he was a wine merchant, one of several in the family.Maud , widow of Robert Bond lived in Ipswich.
Edward was my Great Grandfather's brother. Have much more Garrard data back to Thomas b.1712. Need to make contact.
