Thanks to a question about my posting, I am making a clarification/corrections.
For children of Nathaniel Dickerson MILLER and Sara Elizabeth GARREN, my mother did not have an age listed for Max MILLER; for Minnie she listed 1874 and she listed Thomas as "About 1876".With these uncertainties of birth dates I should not have stated that Christina LuArbelle was the 7th child -- but just that my mother had her listed as born October 23, 1878.She may have been as early as the fifth child.
Also, in my statement: "According to her records, Christina LuArbelle was the 7th known child of Nathaniel Dickerson MILLER and Sarah Elizabeth GARREN, also a sister of my g-g-grandfather."the last half of this sentence was meant to indicated that Charles Nathaniel MILLER (my g-grandfather and also one of Nathaniel and Sarah's children) was a sister of Christina. My statement has an extra "g".
For those monitoring this forum who are interested in the MILLER and MORRIS families who married into GARREN's:While in Iowa this weekend we went with mom to family graves in three cemeteries and photographed head stones.
At Rippey, Iowa Cemetery we viewed the gravesites of Nathaniel Dickerson (his headstone is a military marker, it does not have any dates), his wife Sarah Elizabeth GARREN MILLER's grave (beside Nathaniel, no marker), his son Charles Nathaniel MILLER's (grave beside Nathaniel, no marker), Edward Monroe MORRIS, Margaret "Maggie"MILLER MORRIS, ClaraEvelyn MORRIS WILSON, John WILSON, a GARREN, a FICUS, and possibly others that I won't remember until photograph developed.
At Fairview Church Cemetery, Berkley, Iowa we viewed gravesites of George Morris, his mother on the left (no headstone), his brother on the right (no headstone) and his wife Ara Ellen BUTT (next grave to right, she had married Rev. Lee and headstone bears his SURNAME).
At Violet Hill Cemetery, Park Ave., Perry, Iowa we viewed the unmarked gravesite of Mary Catherine FARREN MILLER (wife of Charles Nathaniel MILLER) located in front of a tree, on the right of grave marker for MOORE family.
