The parents of John William Garren 1867-1928 were David and Louisa Milton Garren. David's first wife was Sarah A. Withrow Gilmer Co., GA Book2 page 95, 1-11-1857 (in Ward's book it's stated as 7-11-1857). 1860 Gilmer Co., GA subdivision 33 #6117/568 Jonathan and Margaret Withrow family you will find David Garren-26-M-farmer-350/250-NC his wife Sarah died in Jan. 1860, childbirth?? David is found in the 1870 Gilmer Co., GA census subdivision 55 #1103/1103 with wife Louisa (Milton) 23y and son John W. 3y. 1880 Gilmer Co., GA Ellijay dist. 261/271 David Garren -46y-farmer-NC, Louisa E. 33y-GA, John W. 13y-GA, Pickney L. 5y-GA, Sister b. David can be found on the 1900, he dies in 1909 and in 1910 Louisa is head of family with daughter Cora and son Edward (David Edward), she dies 4-24-1910 according to Mr. Ward.

John W. Garren marries Oregon K. Henson in Polk Co., TN Nov. 24, 1897. Oregon K.'s parents are Archibald Nelson Henson (Eli Henson/Elizabeth Ledford) and Martha Jenkins Tucker (John W. Jenkins/Keziah Bradford; first husband James LaFonsy Tucker, son of John and Ruby Holloway Tucker; she has one son, James W. E. Tucker b.@1861). ***It is stated in Ward's book, p. 237, that David Garren married Louise Milton on Apr. 6, 1876. I cannot find this listed in the marriage sources I have, Fannin Co., GA 1854-1941, Gilmer Co., GA 1835-1960, Union Co., GA 1833-1897.

I hope this clears up the questions,
