Looking for information on descendants and ancestors of Stephen Garrett(e) a frenchman living in Buckingham County VA ca 1715.His wife is unknown to me but had children named Stephen, John, David, Elijah, Mary and Elizabeth.

Was he a Hugenot?The descendants I am researching settled in Callaway County MO in 1823.
