Pension File Index for All Garrigues Now Online
Hello All,
I have just posted an index to my website that includes all federal pensions filed by people of the surnames:
Garrigues, Garriguess, Garrigus, Garigus, Gargas, Garges, Gargis, and Gargus.
Records include files for all those who served and applied for pensions between the years 1861 and 1934. The names are:

These indexed records are sorted alphabetically and include all the information you will need to request copies of the files from the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) in Washington, D.C. There is also a link to the NARA webpage with instructions on how to get the necessary forms.

The original pension files often contain a treasure trove of information on not only the service member but also on family members to include vital records, letters, physical descriptions, medical files, and more. If you have occasion to visit the Archives in D.C., you can still view the original files. This is an experience I would recommend for anyone interested in family history and/or genealogy.
