Body of Garstka being help to await word from relatives
The body of Joe Garstka, the man who died at the Hardy Santitarium Saturday night, is being held at the undertaking establishment of Harvey Brothers, awaiting word from relatives if any can be found.
Garstka was brought in from Dillard several days ago by Sheriff Garrett and given lodgement at the county jail. He was in bad health and was removed to the Hardy Sanitarium where he died.
The only paper found in the pockets of the dead man was a tax receipt given by R. H. Bradford, treasurer of Lake County, Indiana, which shown that the man paid taxes in that county last year.
Sheriff Garrett has wired the authorities at Crown Point, the Lake County countyseat, for information of relatives of the dead man.
Garstka was an oil field worker and the sheriff desires anyone who may be able to tell anything of the deceased to make it known to him or one of the deputies.
