"Friends in Burlington," by Amelia Mott Gummere, 1884
"Marriages in Burlington Monthly Meeting up to 1750"
"Gaskill Genealogy," pp 45 & 116, lists a daughter of Zorubbable GASKILL (1698-1752) and Ann LIPPINCOTT: Hannah GASKILL born about 1731 married by license 8mo 25day 1749, Adam FARQUHAR of Northampton, [Burlington Co., New Jersey].
"Married Contrary to Doctrine and Disowned 8mo 1day 1749."
Adam was a blacksmith.
Their marriage bond was signed by an "Adam Farquhar."
Known child is:
Adam FARQUHAR, Jr.
Notes: In 1749 "8mo" = June.It is unclear why if the marriage was on the 25th how the Disowning is listed on the first day.
The book has no birth or death dates for Adam Sr. or Adam Jr.
There is no descendant information for Adam Jr.
In 1750 Adam signed as a witness to the will of Hannah's brother Samuel, as "Adam Farquhar, Jr."
In 1753 Adam Farquhar becomes the administrator for the estate of Hannah's brother, "Zorabable GASKILL, Jr." who died unmarried and intestate.
Zorubbable GASKILL (1698-1752) is the son of:
Edward GASKILL (1667-1748) and Hannah ENDECOTT.
Edward is the son of:
Samuel GASKILL (Abt. 1633-1720) and Provided SOUTHWICK.
Hope this helps, best wishes,
