I know that Millie Jane Swindle's fathers name was Seth Swindle and her mother's first name was Elizabeth, (possible last name of Campbell). In the 1880 U.S. census in Alcorn Co., MS, 5 District. Age 56, Race: White, Born: TN, Elizabeth Swindle is listed as a widow.Seth had died in Jan. of that year, it also list Millie Jane, age 16, single, she was listed as daughter-in-law, but how can she be and be single at the same time. This is the yr. she married William C. Gates in Alcorn Co.I have some on her brothers and sisters as well as on grandpa George's brothers and sister.
