May 13, 1813 in France.He was married to Laurence Udelle on Janaury 29, 1788.He was reported to have been an artillery sergeant under General Lafayette, during the American Revolution.His known children were Simeon Gaugien, b. abt. 1795 in Rosiere, France, d. January 5, 1865 in Rosiere, New York; Nicholas Gosier and Adrienne Gosier [Note spelling change to Gosier for siblings].
Simeon Gaugien the younger was married to Jane Ann Therat on January 20, 1818, she too was b. in France.They were reported to have come to Rosiere, Jefferson County, New York in 1832.Their known children were:
1.Charles S. Gosier, b. 1818, d. February 22, 1898;
2.Antione Gosier, b. January 1, 1820, d. August 22, 1898;
3.Nicholas Gosier, b. October 16, 1821, d. June 19, 1822;
4.My gggrrandfather John Baptiste Gaugier (note spelling), b. August 28, 1824, d. September 1900, at Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, married to Josephine Marie Barker, b. June 1, 1833, d. 1901 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
5.Marie Gosier, b. December 10, 1829, d. December 19, 1829; and
6.Clarissa Gosier, b. November 9, 1831, d. September 20, 1900.
