Gaynor or Gaines
Hi all!!!
I'm searching for a George Gaynor,Gaines,Gaignier or Gagne who maried Celina Laberge(Labarge). They are my great grand-parents. I don't have any date of mariage. All I know is that they had their children in Vermont, and that for every single child that was born the spelling of the surname was changed. My grand-mother is Victoria Gagne. But on the birth certificate it says:Victoria Gainer 07-20-1893. Her brother was Joseph George Gaignier 02-23-1890. and Joseph A. Gaynor 03-06-1897. He went on using Gaynor and raised his family in Minnessota. She had 2 sister's : Marie-Albina Gaines 07-04-1891 and Marie-Louise Gainier 09-30-1898. The 3 sisters and parents came to Pte-Gatineau,Quebec where they all got maried in died but they used the surname Gagne. So you can see how confused I am.The genealogie of the Gagne don't have any George that would of maried a Celina Laberge. And for Celina well her name changes too (Selena Labarge then Selena Labierch, and Cyrille Labarge) but on the death certificate I have, Celina Laberge and George Gagne. My cousin from Minnessota remembers that her father often spoke of being an Irish descendent.George died 02-11-1936 at the age of 76 years old. He probably was born in 1859. So If anybody can help me I would surely appreciate it!!!
Excuse my spelling cause I'm french!!!;o))
