Geisheker, A. Kathleen Age 88, joined her late husband, William J. Geisheker, March 24, 2008, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Kay was born to Francis F. Zwettler and Alice C. (nee Boyle) Zwettler at their farm near Blue Mounds, WI. After graduating from Platteville State College she taught elementary school in Delavan. There she met her future husband. They were married at St. Barnabas Church in Mazomanie and moved to Milwaukee. Six children were brought into the world: Mary Alice (John) Becker, William F. (Marlene), Victoria (John) Howland, Daniel J., Richard C. (Joanne) and Michael J. (Teresa) Geisheker. They were blest with eighteen grandchildren: Kathleen, Alicia (Robert) Dotson, John (Elisa), the late Anthony, Angela (Todd) Burgess, and Joseph (Myra) Becker; Jennifer, Christine (Daniel) Hopkinson and William R. Geisheker; Christopher, Julia and Spencer Howland; Heather (Bruce) MacGregor, Amelia (Patrick) Polcha, Jean Marie; Olivia; Christopher and Gretchen!
Geisheker. Kay was also the loving great-grandmother to ten sweet children: Cameron and Alessandra Dotson; Alexander Becker; Grace Kelly, Quinn Kathleen and Hollyn Caroline Burgess; Rory MacGregor; Mary Kathleen, Michael Patrick and Katarina Anna Polcha. Kay leaves behind brothers, Jack (Cora), Bill (Lynn) and Tom (Pat) Zwettler; sisters, Eleanor (late Howard) Himsel and Patricia (Con) Lucey; as well as sisters-in-law Ann (the late Raymond) Geisheker and Patricia (late Vincent) Geisheker, and dozens of cousins, nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her brother Robert, sisters Elizabeth, Doris and Bernadine, and by her brother-in-law Bernard (the late Alice) Geisheker. She was a true partner during her 55-year marriage to Bill and used her artistic talents to support his position as Marquette University Band Director. Additionally, she was a member of Marquette University Faculty Wives and an avid MU sports fan. While raising six children, she found time to be active in several parochial and civic organizations, including Women's Court and Civic Conference. Visitation Sat., March 29, 2008, at St. Alphonsus Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, from 9AM until time of the Funeral Mass, at 10:30AM. Interment and committal following at Holy Cross Cemetery with luncheon to immediately follow.
