hello maria chenique,
it seems very probable that all Gemar who come from Andalucia have the same ancestor. But I don't know if we are related.I only know that a part of my ancestors were in Archidona, near Malaga:this family was landowner, between 1880-1920(especially vineyard). But,because of few debts,a part of the family had lost lands. Then, around 1936,the gemar family in Archidona was cut in 2 part:the part of my grandpa',Republican and poor, and the part of his father's cousin family, rich and franquist. My grandpa',Antonio Gemar, was the only son of his father, but had sisters, stayed in Spain after the civil war.In 1939,Antonio Gemar,ex republican soldier, was political refugee in France.
but you must know that for the moment,I 've never come to Andalucia to search of my ancestors. So,what I know about them is uncomplete.
see you soon!
