Re: Genery in Essex
I'm not actually connected to the family that you are enquiring about but I'm doing a one name study into the Genery/Gennery surname.
Your George Watkin's Genery was born in Llansian,Pembrokeshire. His siblings were-
Edward H. born 1866 Llansian, Pembroke shown as a clerk in a sugar factory in 1881 census
Kate M.A. born 1864 Llansian,Pembroke shown as a laundress in 1881 census
Charles William born 1859 in Haverfordwest,Pembroke became a master of a workhouse.
Charles born 1855 in Haverfordwest.Died in 1857 in Haverfordwest.
Their parents were-
Charles Genery born 1826 in Great Clacton, Essex shown as a Lunatic Keeper.
Eliza Watkins born 1829 St. Clements Dane, Middx shown as a laundress.
Charles' parents were George Genery and Mary Croftsman.
George was born in 1791 in St. Osyth, Essex and became a schoolmaster in Great Clacton. They were married in 1812 in Great Clacton.
I have alot more on this family but it would take quite a while to type out.Is there an e-mail I could send a gedcom file to.
All the Best
