Does anyone have Selina Elizabeth Gent of Alabama in their line or run across her name in your search? She seems to be eluding me. She is my mother's grandmother, born May 1872 in Alabama and died in 1910 in Alabama. She is listed along with her husband and three of their children on the 1900 census in Jefferson County, Alabama. According to the census, both her parents were born in Alabama. Selina married my gr-grandfather, Christopher Columbus (CC) Odom and parented my grandmother, Megie Odom.
I keep running into a brick wall when trying to find more about her. My mother says she remembers her going by the name Elizabeth and my oldest aunt is named after her, however she is listed as Selina E. on the census.
