Wife of David Carlock, b. 1674
I'm back to my age old question.I descend from David Carlock,1674, [s/o Hanschrist and Anna Maria (Kummer) Gerlach], through his daughter Caroline.I have never known who his wife was that supposedly died in Holland.About a year ago I received an e-mail that said her name was Anna Maria Lesemus.I have since been looking for proof.
On the Rootsweb there are about a dozen entries that have Anna Maria Lisemus as the wife of Peter Garlock and about the same stating she is the wife of David.
I now have an entry from "The Book of Names:The Early Palatines, New York, N.Y., M4 pp22, Kocherthal Records" that state that --- "John Peter Gerlach and wife Anna Maria Lisemus of Lifeninsen were sponsors for John Peter Lein, who was born to Conrad and Margaretha Lein on 1 Aug 1712".
Are there two Anna Maria Lisemus women out there? One buried in Holland and one that made it to America?Do you have any info to put some light on this problem?
