Amanda Germond Willey - Harlan Co., IA
I am searching for any information (e.g., census, church records, etc). that could locate Amanda Germond/German WILLEY living in Harlan, Shelby Co. in the late 1800s, as has been noted in family correspondence.Mr. WILLEY's first name is unknown to me, and I do not know if they had any children. It is also possible that they did not remain in Shelby Co.Amanda was the daughter of Isaac GERMOND. Isaac's first wife was reportedly Sarah/Sally HICKS. She had a brother named Granville Stewart GERMOND/GERMAN, who was born in Dutchess Co., NY in 1825.Isaac moved to Hancock Co., Ohio, probably in the mid 1830s. I do not know if Sarah/Sally accompanied him.In 1844, he married for a second time to Lydia RAYMOND. I believe but do not know that Granville went with him.Granville later moved to Branch Co. MI and later to Mecosta Co., MI.Isaac's will, probabted in 1884, mentions his daughter Amanda.I would appreciate any infomration anyone can give me.Thanks for your help.
