Re: Theodore Gerrish (20th Maine/Civil War)

Theodore Gerrish is my G uncle. My G Grandfather is William. My grandfather, George Fisher married Margret (Maggy) Gerrish, daughter of Will. My recollection is that they had five boys, Carl, Harold, Jim, Bob, and my father Theodore Gerrish Fisher plus one daughter, Helen.

The Fishers were loggers. They lived in or around Oakfield Maine. They homesteaded a dry-land wheat ranch in or near Winifred, Alberta in about 1916 and starved out.

They then followed the timber to Oregon, filling timber claims, logging and milling timber.

Carl and Harold returned to the east. The rest of the family stayed in Oregon.

My sister has more info than I. I will send this website on to her.
